Huang Shan Mao Feng, translated as "Yellow Mountain Fur Peak," is a unique green tea from the picturesque Yellow Mountains of Anhui Province, China. This particular Huang Shan Mao Feng offers a distinctive twist with a light roast, adding complexity to its inherent sweetness and characteristic chestnut flavor.

Flavor Profile: This exquisite tea boasts a captivating flavor profile, balancing the fresh, delicate notes typical of Huang Shan Mao Feng with a subtle roasted character. The initial taste is sweet, with hints of roasted chestnut and a touch of orchid fragrance. The light roast adds a depth and nuttiness, while the liquor remains smooth, refreshing, and leaves a pleasant, lingering sweetness.

Appearance (Dry Leaf): The dry leaves are a mix of slender, slightly twisted dark green leaves and downy, light green buds. Noticeable light brown spots on some leaves indicate the gentle roasting process, giving this tea a unique visual appeal.

Brewing Instructions: Use 1 teaspoon (approximately 3 grams) of tea leaves per 8 ounces (237ml) of water. Heat water to 75-80°C (167-176°F) and steep for 1-2 minutes for the first infusion. Subsequent infusions can be slightly longer.

Origin: Cultivated in the high-altitude tea gardens of Huang Shan, this tea benefits from the region's unique microclimate, including frequent mists and fertile soil. The careful plucking of only the youngest buds and leaves, followed by a unique light roasting, contributes to its distinctive character.
